il Risorgimento and Galleria Umberto: Twitter posts worthy of a forum post

Ladies and gentlemen:Lately out of desperation to bring more customers to my Etsy shop, I came up with the concept of writing "short stories" on Twitter.  A few lines at a time, I guide a prospective patron throgh an audio visual experience. At first, I was just using obscure Victorianish anime references, but last week I began to look for better subjects, and somehow my mind turned to the Re-Unification (aka il Risorgimento) period in Italy in the 19th. C.  This is the period when an internal…See More

Flashingblinkylights

If you're looking for LED flashers and such for a project, visit flashingblinkylights These guys have EVERY trashy plastic LED piece of crap the Chinese have ever built -- quite impressive in a perverse and twisted way. I've recently ordered 5 pieces of a multi-color LED flasher module thingy from them, so some of their junk might…See More

Welcome!

Welcome! This site was set up to facilitate contact and conversation between the Steam Folks here in Texas (but foreigners are welcome too).

~~ The BLOG function is active again (Ning has better anti-spam now).

Just be sure to verify whether you want to keep it private, just friends or everyone.

~~ Check the 'Latest Activity' feature to keep track of local event posts, current discussions, new members, photos, etc.

~~ The events calendar no longer exists as a discrete entity, so check the Forum for that information.  The calendar will be a 'featured' item at the top of the list.

~~ For the new folks and those who wish to keep up with the latest trends, I'd highly recommend the Steampunk Fashion site on LiveJournal.  It's a superb source of ideas and inspirations.

Greetings from the 21st/18th

Gears and steam, gleaming brass and bronze. Silvery black shimmers cut with blazing crimsons, imperial purples and lush emerald greens.
The crux of a Change Age where Steel and Stone grow tall into a sapphire sky under the golden sun.
  Welcome to the 21st/18th
